Stemcells – What the Myc?

Recent advances in stem cell generation are very exciting, even more so without the use of the oncogene c-myc (Nat Bio). There is skepticism still because of viral insertion, nuclear reprogramming, DNA stability. With all new findings, it will take time to optimize the system. So this should be a period of excitement not discouragement.
